Field to Table 2026

September 24, 2026 | Bleachery Field House

Palmetto Counseling was proud to fill a table at the Rock Hill Parks Foundation’s fundraising dinner and help raise funds for improvements to Miracle Park, a space that’s near and dear to our hearts and where people of every ability can play, connect, and belong. Many of the children and families who enjoy Miracle Park are those that we serve every day, making this cause deeply personal to us and our York County community.

How Palmetto Took Part

Ten members of the Palmetto Counseling family came together for the evening, including our Founder and Executive Director, Rich Schlauch, and his wife, Angie; therapists Alycia Toohey, Dominique Calhoun, Erin Stuck, Kimberly Hicks, and Samantha Lee Dudek; and support team members Kelly Mabe, Tracy Tolen, and Megan Reid.

By attending the dinner, our team helped raise funds for Miracle Park improvements and showed our support for the Foundation’s mission. This mission reflects ours of helping our community move forward with inclusivity. When everyone has a place to participate, we grow stronger as a whole.

What Involvement Means to Us

At Palmetto Counseling, we believe wellness grows through connection. Play, movement, and time outdoors with others can be powerful parts of healing. That’s why therapeutic recreation matters so much, especially for people who may face barriers to joining in.

“Supporting our community means recognizing the importance of connection, inclusion, and creating opportunities for everyone to feel valued and engaged. The Rock Hill Parks Foundation is doing incredible work to expand access to therapeutic recreation and meaningful community experiences for individuals of all abilities. Their commitment to creating inclusive spaces where people can participate, connect, and thrive is truly making a lasting difference in our community.”

Memorable Moments

The highlight of the night was meeting Tanner Smith and hearing him share his story. His words moved everyone in the room. They were a powerful reminder of why inclusive spaces like Miracle Park matter so much.

Our team also treasured the simple joy of being together outside the office. Sharing a meal with colleagues and friends, all while supporting a great cause, made the evening even more meaningful.
