Our founder & CEO, Rich Schlauch, and the Palmetto Counseling team were delighted to welcome our friends from Continuum Health Providers for a Lunch & Learn to recognize their growing services and impact on our greater Rock Hill and Fort Mill communities. Continuum recently opened its doors to serve York County and the South Charlotte area, a milestone we were excited to celebrate.
We appreciated the opportunity to connect with George Boykin, Dr. Brian Mika, and the team at Continuum Health Providers during our Lunch & Learn. It was a privilege to learn more about their approach to mental health care and the range of services they offer to support individuals through different stages of their healing journey.
About Continuum Health Providers
Continuum Health Providers is a CARF-accredited behavioral health organization. That accreditation reflects a strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care. Their team offers services our region has long needed, including:
- Psychiatry, psychiatric assessments, and medication management.
- Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for people who need more structure than weekly therapy provides.
- Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for those who need a higher level of daily support while still living at home.
Like Palmetto, Continuum believes care should feel welcoming and human. Their aligned focus on meeting people where they are made for easy, meaningful conversation as soon as we connected.
Why Community Partnerships Matter
Mental health needs look different for everyone, and they can change over time. Weekly outpatient therapy is a great fit for many of our clients. Still, some people benefit from extra support, such as medication management or a more intensive program during a hard season.
That’s where trusted partnerships make a real difference. When we know the providers in our community and understand how they work, we can:
- Make thoughtful, confident referrals when someone needs a different level of care
- Help clients move between services with fewer delays and less stress
- Coordinate care so no one feels lost along the way
