Samantha is currently licensed in South Carolina and North Carolina.
About Samantha
Born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, and a mental health professional with 7 years of experience in the field, Samantha joined the Palmetto Counseling team at our Rock Hill location in September 2025. Samantha has been local to the area since moving to complete her undergrad in Psychology, following her passion for helping neurodivergent young adults and teens discover who they are with validation and empowerment.
Growing up with anxiety and ADHD herself, Samantha knows how life-changing and validating it can be to learn more about your diagnoses to reframe the things within your control. She knows how it feels to be misunderstood or perceived as “lazy,” and approaches therapy with the belief that all people are inherently good. Giving clients the space away from a fast-paced lifestyle, demands at home or school, or an unsupportive environment, opens the door for growth and reflection.
Samantha has a relaxed and person-centered therapy style focused on encouraging her clients to advocate for themselves and share with her whether they need to be challenged, to vent, or to process—meeting you where you’re at on the day of your sessions and making each one as effective as possible. As Samantha’s client, you can expect her to be your cheerleader, supporting you with positivity and reminding you that we are only human!
To any clients who are hesitant about starting therapy, Samantha encourages thinking about therapy the same way as you would going to a medical doctor. If someone with a chronic illness or sickness goes to the doctor to receive advice and treatment, it’s seen as completely normal and expected. Mental health challenges can be just as detrimental to our daily functioning and life satisfaction, and therefore, should be treated the same way.

“I’ve seen firsthand just how powerful it can be to create a safe space for someone to feel listened to, understood, and accepted.”
—Samantha Lee Dudek, LPC, LCMHC
Education
- East Carolina University, Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Career Counseling
- Winthrop University, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Theater
