About Alana

A therapist at Palmetto Counseling’s Rock Hill location since September 2025, Alana has spent the past 14 years following her passion for helping individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences as a licensed mental health professional. She’s seen and remains inspired by watching her clients discover their strength, capacity for growth, and how much resilience they carry within themselves.

When Alana was a child, she experienced a traumatic event and was fortunate to receive therapy that greatly supported her healing process. From that point forward, she felt inspired to provide others with the same compassionate and meaningful experience. This early exposure motivated Alana to pursue a career in therapy to help clients navigate challenges, explore unhelpful patterns, build coping skills that promote resilience, and find healing in their own lives.

Alana’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. She strives to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and respected, and especially enjoys working with clients navigating adjustments, multicultural concerns, and the LGBTQ+ experience. This also includes college students navigating mental health challenges.

If therapy brings up mixed emotions for you, especially due to the stigma that still exists around seeking help, Alana wants you to know that your feelings are valid. She sees therapy as a courageous step toward self-improvement and resolution, and her role is to provide you with the safety and support you need to regain control of your journey. As Alana’s client, you can expect to work together, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you, toward the shared outcome that is helping you heal and prosper.
