Clinical Evaluation/Diagnostic Assessment
Are you seeking clinical mental health counseling? As a part of the services offered by Palmetto Counseling, a clinical evaluation/diagnostic assessment is performed by a licensed clinician and is an important part of a person’s treatment.
The clinical evaluation is conducted at the start of treatment and identifies the person’s needs, concerns, strengths, and allows the individual and his/her family to make informed decisions about treatment. The assessment helps determine how treatment services and support [e.g., Individual Counseling, Family Therapy, Marriage / Couples Counseling, Group Therapy, or Referral to other Treatment Providers] can assist a person to reach their desired goals.
A clinical evaluation may be conducted for conditions such as ADD/ ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction, and other mental health conditions. Assessments may also be performed for patients being considered for certain surgical procedures such as Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) / Chronic Pain and Gastric Banding Procedure / Gastric Bypass Surgery.
